About Us

Listening and Responding to Leicestershire Communities

Leicestershire LINk is a local involvement network for the community to have a say about local Health & Social Care Services. The LINk has been established to find out what people want from their local Health & Social Care Services and is independent of organisations such as NHS Leicestershire County & Rutland or the Leicestershire County Council. LINks were introduced as part of a new Government initiative from April 2008, and replaces the old patient and public involvement forums.

In Leicestershire, the LINk is supported (or hosted) by CVS Community Partnership. The job of the Host is to support the LINk in developing policies, supporting Working Groups, creating publicity materials, organising events, training and networking.

The LINk works with health trusts and councils, voluntary groups and individuals so that we can bring about improvements and changes to Health & Social Care Services in our local area. The LINk is here to ensure that everyone who wants to can have a greater influence over future Health & Social Care Services.
