Andrew Lansley released his White Paper on the NHS on Monday.
The Secretary of State for Health, Andrew Lansley is expected to release his first policy next week. It is within this, we expect he will discuss his future proposals on GP commissioning. He spoke on 1st July at the British Medical Association Annual Representatives meeting in Brighton.

Just to point out that the Chancellor has said that apart from Health and international aid, there will be budget cuts of 25% over five years.
The emergency budget will be held on Tuesday 22 June, this is first Budget of the new Government and will be the first Budget where the Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR), will provide the forecasts for the economy and public finance.
As things are slowly unfolding, the future of LINks is slowly coming through. It is envisaged that LINks will be merged with a national new organisation called Healthwatch. For those of you who were monitoring the Conservative Policy before the elections, Healthwatch was first mentioned at the Conservative Party Summit in 2006. The Healthwatch model is not yet developed. I'll keep you posted when more is unveiled.
