Decision Made on County Care Homes

Leicestershire County Council released a cabinet report recommending that Council run Care Homes be transferred to other service providers. The report stated that the majority of respondents were against the transfer of the nine Care Homes and the majority were against the closure of both the nine Care Homes and Catherine Dalley House.

Speaking at the Leicestershire County Council Cabinet meeting on 15th June, Cllr David Sprason said, "The only option we have is to transfer the Care Homes, as they have no future under the County Council".
